What is plantar fasciitis?

Plantar fasciitis is inflammation of tissue on the bottom of the foot where the arch meets the heel.  The bottom of the foot is the plantar surface, the fascia is a type of ligament that attaches from the heel to the ball of the foot.  When bearing weight an unbalanced foot creates tension and pain at the attachment of the fascia on the heel bone.  Custom fitted Good Feet arch supports cup the heel, support the arch, and relieve tension allowing the person to resume normal activities.
