Nick has had an interest in sports and performance from his days as captain of his college baseball team at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where he achieved all-conference honors. He earned his MS in Health Promotion Management from American University and Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Columbia University with honors. He worked with private orthopedic groups and in home health care before founding his own patient-centered practice.
In addition to his business, Nick helped found The BFR Pros to further his mission of helping people get back to the activities they love as quickly as possible. He teaches BFR Workshops across Europe and has spoken on BFR training at international conferences in London and Paris as well as at the National Strength and Conditioning Association’s National Conference in 2020. He is also focused on expanding his publications in peer-reviewed journals by collaborating with other BFR training experts.
Outside of work, Nick lives his passion for fitness as a men’s physique competitor. He believes that balance is the key to a healthy, pain-free life, and that pain is a symptom of a body out of balance.
